Synopsis : In August 2011, a team of four people embarks on a road trip from Istanbul, the margins of the West, to the East, aiming to conquer new territories. Around this intense experience is built a road movie featuring a young walker, both pilgrim and conqueror. He is an european who left his land where he could see no future. Landscapes follow one another to the regular rhythm of his footsteps ans as the heat is more intense the mark of men on earth is more rare, giving place to dirt, stone and drought. Synopsis : En août 2011, une équipe de quatre personnes qui part d’Istanbul, marge de l’Occident, se lance dans un road trip vers l’Orient, à la conquête de terres neuves. Autour de cette expérience intense se batît un road movie mettant en scène un jeune marcheur, à la fois pélerin et conquérant. Il est européen. Il a quitté sa terre où il ne voyait pas d’avenir. Les paysages se succèdent au rythme régulier de ses pas et à mesure que la chaleur est plus intense, la marque des hommes sur la terre est plus rare et fait place à la poussière, à la pierre et à la sécheresse. Nathan Duval marche sans destination. La marche est sa destination. C’est aux confins de la province de Mardin qu’il s’enfonce dans l’image et dans la nuit, et disparaît.
