ETE PERPETUEL – 2015-16 – Film (43min) / installation. Langue originale : français.
FILM – Jeanne, 40 ans, se trouve isolée dans le jardin d’une maison d’été où elle s’était installée avec Louis des années plus tôt, juste après l’hécatombe. Depuis, son amour s’est noyé alors qu’il se baignait dans la piscine de la maison. Désormais seule, elle réactive la mémoire de Louis en pratiquant un jeu dialectique où elle prête sa voix et son intelligence à mettre en dialogue leurs deux caractères opposés. En effet celui qui, plein d’enthousiasme, désirait vivre a disparu, laissant seule celle qui, sceptique, peinait à s’engager. À mesure que le jeu se déroule, le souvenir de Louis devient si réel qu’il apparaît aux yeux de Jeanne. Bouleversée, elle quitte son quotidien et se laisse tomber dans la piscine où elle expérimente à la fois l’accident et son propre lâcher prise. Elle quitte l’eau et invente alors un poème où elle fait le deuil de son amour passé, se laissant traverser par la diversité des sentiments qu’elle a éprouvés depuis la disparition. Le temps s’est arrêté. Il reprend vingt ans plus tôt, quelques jours avant l’accident.
INSTALLATION – L’exposition d’Été perpétuel a précédé le tournage du film. Les objets qui concouraient à la fabrication du film furent rassemblés : répétitions vidéo sculptures photographies, et le public invité à se déplacer dans la potentialité de ce film à venir.

FILM – (English title : Perpetual summer) Jeanne, 40 years old, is isolated in the garden of a summer house where she settled with Louis several years before, after the slaughter. Since then, her beloved has drowned swimming in the pool. Now lonely, she revives Louis’s memory practicing a dialectic game where she lends her voice and intelligence to let the confrontation of their contradictory natures reappear. Indeed Louis was an enthusiastic man willing to fight who opposed her skeptical character. As the game unfolds, the memory of Louis becomes so real that he appears under Jeanne’s eyes. Shaken, she leaves the game and lets herself drop into the pool where she experiments both the accident of her beloved and her own abandonment. After leaving the water, she sings a poem where she mourns for him going through the diversity of emotions she experimented since he passed away. During the poem, time slowly stretches until it stops. And starts again twenty years before, a few days before the accident.
INSTALLATION – The exhibition of Été perpétuel preceded the shooting of the film. Objects contributing its making were gathered : rehearsals texts sculptures photographs, and the public invited to move in the possibility of this film to come.
